This release brings version 1.0.3 with the following changes:
- RegionManager has been added to manage very large environments. - Memory leak which could occur when updating tiles outside the visible area has been fixed.
When using the RegionManager, your application would need to implement listener functions to create and release sub-regions of the environment. This allows the tile engine to work with very large worlds that would not otherwise fit into memory. A demo project has been added which creates an endless grid of criss-crossing pathways. In the demo, the player can move along the pathways in any direction as far as they want to. Zoom functionality is included in the demo which you can use to zoom out very far and see how the RegionManager paints sub-regions into the buffer layer. Please find links below:
